Notts In A Nutshell presents... The Hubris - Nottingham post punk which sits somewhere between The Fall, Joy Division and more modern indie rock. Frontman Andy Storr is both charming and unique, whilst the band live are animated in all the right ways! Passionate music with witty, insightful lyrics and a quirkiness that makes them one of Nottingham's finest. My Only Chance - MyOnlyChance are a five-piece Northamptonshire based Alternative/Rock band with a catchy and fresh sound. Molotov - Molotov is Punk Rock band from the United Kingdom based in Long Eaton, Nottingham. Combining a fusion of Punk Rock with slight metal influences.
Funhouse Comedy presents...ANDREW LAWRENCE + PAUL SINHA ANDREW LAWRENCE - "With the fractious energy born of frustration that puts one in mind of an evil Lee Evans merging with the verbal assaults of 'equal opportunities offender' Jerry Sadowitz, this taut, scrawny ginger comic, with his strangulated London twang, fires his ire any which way" - The Independent, August 2009 PAUL SINHA - Sinha began performing stand-up while working as a junior doctor in hospitals in London and King's Lynn. His early material drew on his sexuality and ethnicity with a high pun concentration. In 1999, he reached the final of the Hackney Empire New Act of the Year where he was runner-up. After several years of combining touring with his nascent medical career, Sinha's breakthrough came with his second solo Edinburgh show, Saint or Sinha? which earned him an if.comeddie nomination in 2006.[3]

Double D promotions presents... Thursday 22nd July 8pm / £tba The 48k's - The 48ks write tunes that evoke all your favourite bands of the last 50 years. If you were to mix The Beatles, Rolling Stones, The Who, The Jam, The Specials, The Kinks and the Las together with a touch of AC DC then you might have an idea of what to expect. With a penchant for a melody and catchy harmony based sound once you've heard the tunes you'll be humming them for days. Falling Upstairs - Three fat lads from Kirkby-in-Ashfield playing old school ska influenced pop-punk. For fans of fast beats, simple chords and sick rhymes, yo. Suspended by Fate - are a Metalcore/hardcore band from Mansfield. Inspired by bands such as As I Lay Dying and August Burns Red, they combine technical death metal riffs with melodic choruses, topped off with some crunching breakdowns and a fantastic vocal range. The Species - are a four piece alternative rock band formed in early 2009. With strong influences from arctic monkeys, the strokes and muse the species have created a unique style of catchy tunes and powerful rhythm section. Riot 4 Disco - acoustic punk

Keeping true to their origins as a spontaneous composition ensemble, they kick ideas up and down the stage in a torrent of Decks, Horns, Double Bass, Drums and Electronic Effects. No digital samplers, no guitars or keyboards and no safety net as the arrangements are reinvented on the spot and the roles of solo and backing instruments change at the blink of an eye to any of the nine members.
