On Tuesday 3rd January, Castle Rock closed all managed pubs and threw a company-wide party in the brewery. Hundreds of staff gathered to celebrate Christmas, the New Year, and 2017, which marks 40 years since the company was founded.

The Nottingham Comedy Festival is back for the 8th time between the 4th and 12th November 2016. Featuring over 100 shows in 23 venues across the city the festival is as strong as ever and offers more variety than before.


Castle Rock Brewery has acquired the freehold of the Cricketers Rest in Kimberley. The workmen and women are there and it’ll reopen as our 22nd pub in August.



This June, Mikron Theatre Company bring to the stage ‘Canary Girls: Heroes on the Home Front’. Funny, heartfelt and tender. Mikron presents a tale of two sisters well and truly at war.
