Life long learning thrives across the Castle Rock estate with regular educational gatherings, seminars and tastings dedicated to improving the understanding of ale. Throughout the year, representatives from many of the country’s regional breweries gather in Castle Rock hostelries to explain their ales and allow learners to hear and taste first hand why their beer is unlike any other.

Typical was the visit by sales executive Matthew Ashford, and Mark Tetlow, quality assurance manager at Everards Brewery, to the Fox and Crown at Newark where a range of ales including Tiger Best Bitter, Sunchaser Blond and Original were discussed and explained before being sampled by the eager students.

Brewery Nights are a regular feature of the mid-week entertainment in many Castle Rock pubs. See ‘events’ listings on the Castle Rock website and look out for posters at your favourite pub.
