Castle Rock was approached earlier this year when the planning for Macmillan Fest 2015 was in its embryonic stages. Speaking about the brewery’s involvement, marketing executive Liv Auckland said “As a company we love getting involved with local charity events. Nottingham is a great city, boasting a number of great pubs and venues and it’s great to be sponsoring the main stage at Macmillan Fest”.
Red Riding Hood, Castle Rock’s US-style red ale/traditional best bitter hybrid will be on sale at all venues. “We’re looking forward to being able to show off Red Riding Hood, the ‘unofficial’ Evil Scarecrow beer.
Macmillan Fest boasts a range of entertainment for all age groups, including live music, outdoor BBQ and a range of trader stalls. There’ll also be a number of fundraising events such as the increasingly popular raffle, waxing challenge, head shaves and more. Here’s this year’s line-up:
To raise even more money for Macmillan this year, festival organiser Kris Davis will be doing a bike ride from Nottingham to Bristol.
Kamal Rahmoun and Alex Collins will also be getting the festival logo tattooed to themselves this year to raise money.
