Regular CAMRA awards have been bestowed on the Derby Tup over the years, prior to and subsequent acquisition by Castle Rock in 1990.

Situated on the northern outskirts of Chesterfield, it has remained popular with locals as well as visiting real ale enthusiasts, many of them en route to football matches in the region. 'The Tup' features a large public bar and two smaller rooms. The beer range can number up to ten.
