Rebuilt in the 1960′s close to the site of the original pub of the same name, the Horse and Jockey once formed part of the tied estate of the nearby Shipstones Brewery prior to being acquired by Castle Rock in September 2001.
Handily placed for Nottingham’s tram network (use David’s Lane stop), you can produce your ticket to get an extra sticker on your One Over The Eight card.
A large car park is also beneficial for those travelling to sample some of Marie Frost’s legendary cuisine.
There is also a large function room which is available for hire.
Manager: Marie Frost
“On wednesday the 17th of March myself and family visited the Horse and Jockey
on returning from Nottingham City, after an enjoyable day in town we then
went on to have an exceptional evening with not only customers but staff
members too. The atmosphere was exciting and the Irish fayre was
exceptional. We where made to feel so welcome and enjoyed the little quirkey
touches such as a green top to the Guinness and finding green water in the
toilets. We have all intentions of returning to sample more culinary
delights. I would appreciate if you could pass our thanks on to the manager
and staff for such a perfact evening to finish of a perfect day. Thank You.”
