A former Gilmours Brewery pub, the New Barrack Tavern became something of a Sheffield drinking ‘institution’ well before its acquisition by Castle Rock in 2002.

Situated on Penistone Road, which heads northwards from the City Centre towards the Hillsbrough district, the adjacent tram lines make the pub a popular port of call for locals and visitors alike.

Sheffield Wednesday’s football ground is a little further up the road. The pub maintains it’s multi-room layout, and offers up to eleven cask beers, plus an extensive range of continental brands on draught and in bottles.
