As well as our Wildlife ‘Natural’ Selection, available on a monthly basis, we also brew occasional ales for special occasions or key sporting events, details of which can be seen below…

MIDNIGHT OWL (5.5%) – A winter warmer (Available October-March)A rich, warming winter ale with a distinctive hop and caramel finish.
HEMLOCK BITTER (4.0% ABV) – Our Spring favourite (Available May-July)A mid-strength, full-flavoured bitter with fruity notes on the palate and a smack of hops in the finish.
Snowhite_2008 SNOWHITE (4.2% ABV) – Our official Christmas beer (Available November-February)
A very pale and refreshing malt beer with a subtle but distinctive hop character.Beautifully balanced and smooth to drink, Snowhite appeals to a broad spectrum of discerning drinkers and makes an occasional appearance each year.

We could say it “dwarfs the competition”, but perhaps we’d better not!
Nottingham-Gold-08 NOTTINGHAM GOLD (3.5% ABV)
‘We’re setting the Gold Standard’A golden beer with distinct hop character derived from 100% goldings hops. A fairly low abv makes it a great lunchtime/early doors beer. It has quickly become an established favourite in our pubs and deservedly so!

300Nottingham Gold was declared by Roger Protz to be one of the ’300 Beers to try before you die’ in his book, published in 2005.

The author – also a big fan of our multi-award-winning Harvest Pale – has included our 3.5% abv ‘quaffing bitter’ in a choice selection of some of the world’s finest beers.

WALRUS (4.0% ABV)
Our Movember beer…

Castle Rock Brewery brewed a beer EXCLUSIVE to Movember (the fundraising month of November in aid of men’s health charities), named ”Walrus”.

It was a 4% amber beer with a gentle bitterness, which gives way to a long zesty finish. We donated 20p for EVERY pint of Walrus to appropriate Men’s health charities.

We are delighted to announce that Castle Rock Brewery as a whole managed to raise a massive £2252.50

HARVEST PALE PREMIER CRU (5.1% ABV)
Harvest Pale with an edge…!

Castle Rock Brewery have created a one off brew for the chilly winter days and nights – a golden version of Harvest Pale coming out at a stronger 5.1%!

Expect a deliciously citrussy taste with a distinct bitterness at the end! This is an exclusive brew, available from the end of January 2013. When it’s gone, it’s gone!
Bouncing Bomb 7 BOUNCING BOMB (4.4% ABV)
Commemorating the 70th anniversary of the Dambuster Raids.Available in May 2013, Bouncing Bomb is a golden beer with spicy cedar notes from the German hops.

This is another one off brew – so give it a try while you can!
