Eating out is great; and whether it’s a sit down meal with a friend or a grab-and-go lunch, it’s that little treat that we’ve been denied during lockdown.
Here’s how it works:
The government’s Eat Out to Help Out scheme takes place between Monday and Wednesday, each week throughout August. You can enjoy 50% off* food and/or non-alcoholic drinks (up to the value of £10) per person. See below for the list of participating venues.
You can pre-book a table to eat or drink at any of our pubs, and this includes tables in one of our beer gardens. Visit HERE for all the info.
The following pubs are participating in the scheme, and they each offer different cuisines from classic cold cobs to wood-fired pizzas and inspired specials. We’ve recommended our own favourite dishes to give you an idea.

The thyme chicken pesto pasta is a lovely fresh, herby and summery dish that’s on the lighter side. Winner winner…
Canalhouse Canalhouse Online Menu
For something a bit different, try the spinach and chickpea falafel burger. Full of flavour, and the delicate spices and moreish textures pair beautifully with the cool mint yoghurt dip.
The Embankment Embankment Online Menu
You can’t go wrong with their garden pizza! Aromatic house tomato sauce with earthy mushrooms, sweet and green fresh peppers and with the intense kick of black olive. Delicious.
Fox & Grapes Fox & Grapes Online Menu
Poppy & Pint Poppy & Pint Online Menu
How does a spicy beef buritto sound? It sounds great to us! Or for something lighter, the crispy filo wrapped prawns are always a delight, with chilli sauce for dipping.
