On Saturday 10th August the Willowbrook will be holding a fundraising evening for Abbie, including an auction with some amazing items on offer to raise money.
Your attendance will be warmly recieved.
Who is Abbie?
Abbie is a girl who lives locally and is 7 years old. She started walking with a limp in her leg before Christmas. It didn’t bother her nor cause her any pain. A few weeks back Abbie was walking home from school and stepped off the curb to cross the road during this her leg broke in numerous of places. It has since transpired that Abbie has a rare cancer which is eating her bones and its now moved into her ribs.
Last week she had her leg amputated to the knee and will be returning to hospital once healed to have the rest of the leg removed to the hip. The family are quite a private family and have never asked for help from anyone, so the community are pulling together to make this difficult time for them as easy as possible.
Initally, plans were for a charity fun day to raise money to help the family in this difficult time, but the generosity from the community has been outstanding and all prizes call for more than a raffle. So they have now decided to auction them off at the willowbrook from 7pm onwards.
Just a few prizes include a 45″ TV, a Mike Tyson signed boxing glove, a Leigh Wood signed boxing glove as well as another signed by Carl Froch and many more amazing prizes.
