Whatever the weather, on the last Saturday of January, the Lincolnshire Poacher’s cricket team will be taking part in a cricket match on the Forest recreation ground to raise money for Maggie’s.

This will be followed by a BBQ back at the Poacher from 3pm, when all the proceeds will be donated.

What does your local mean to you?

Each year begins with the toughest trading month for pubs. Campaigns like Dry January combined with dreary weather and new year resolutions means pubs, people and the economy struggle.

We want to know what your local means to you. What does it give you, what does it bring to your life? Let’s remind everyone why the Great British Pub is worth protecting this January. Tell us here or on social media, using the hashtag #mylocalis
