MIDNIGHT RODEO

Nottingham formed psychedelic art-pop sextet Midnight Rodeo broke out in 2022 with 3 singles on Brighton’s Fat Cat Records, accompanied by a relentless touring schedule around the UK, with trips to Europe, two sold-out hometown shows and prodigious slots at festivals such as The Great Escape, Dot to Dot & Kendal Calling.

Their sound is unique in its combination of a powerful groove laden rhythm section, alongside jangly guitars, theremin-esque synths, booming organs all held together with the ethereal, honeyed vocals of frontwoman Maddy Chamberlain.  Krauty & Latin-esque grooves are juxtaposed with powerful psych-pop garage floor-fillers, hypnotic and chaotic in equal measure.

2023 has seen them tour with Deja Vega, alongside multiple headline dates, as well as delve into the UK festival circuit.  Their Winter 2023 tour was a huge success, including sold out shows around the UK & in Paris.  The debut album is set for release Autumn 2024.  The coveted latest single Thank You for Your Time is available on 7” via BandCamp and for streaming now.

“A multi-faceted piece of woozy surf pop, the Morricone guitars slice through those heavenly vocals, while the heavyweight percussion surges to its grand finale.” Clash

“Aharp-shootin’ psych-pop.” Clash

“Spongy cinematic trip…wispy surf rock.” So Young

“A modern day psych-pop classic.” Under The Radar

“The kind of sounds that Midnight Rodeo magic up here are so elegantly formed and tastefully conceived – like a gorgeous fusion of Los Bitchos and La Luz –  it could easily have sprung from the hippy kingdoms of California, Melbourne, or mainland Europe.”  Hard of Hearing

CATMILK

Catmilk is the musical project of Nottingham artist Alex Milne. With deadpan delivery and tender vocals, Alex plays with the familiarity in catharsis, pulling emotion from dry humour and vulnerable, folk informed storytelling.
Catmilk tread the intersections of anglicised americana and heavier alt-indie. The bands melodies grow from sparse, lofi guitar to soaring, nostalgic riffs, catering for fans of Mitski, Big Thief and Alex G.

Since expanding into a 4 piece band and celebrating the release of their debut EP Artichoke, Catmilk are quietly becoming a favourite ‘under the radar’ act. They were longlisted for the 2023 Greenman Rising competition and have received glowing feedback and ongoing support from BBC Introducing and Fresh on the Net.
They have performed as local headliners for Nottingham’s Dot-to-dot, Hockley Hustle and Meadowlands Festival, and have supported a range of artists including Stella Donelly, Lorkin O Reilly, Divorce, King Hannah, Brown Horse and Sarah Shook and the Disarmers.
