Welcome to the Poppy and Pint – Castle Rock’s new pub in Lady Bay, Nottingham
It’s flat out for HarmanBuild and the Poppy and Pint staff as the opening of Castle Rock’s new Lady Bay pub approaches. Shown here by the bowling green are manager, James Halfpenny (left), his deputy manager Gareth Auckland, Castle Rock operations director, Steve Bramley, and brothers Mike and John Harman of HarmanBuild.
The pub takes up part of the two acre site alongside the thriving bowls and tennis clubs between Gertrude Road and Pierrepont Road in the Lady Bay area of Rushcliffe. In addition to the large bar area, the pub has an extensive kitchen for its all-day meal service, a quiet dining area, a family-friendly room, outdoor beer garden and an upstairs function suite.
The pub’s name was suggested by local residents and will be open to the public from 3pm on Sunday 15th May 2011.
