Join the Vat and Fiddle for a week of sunshine vibes, tropical brews, and delicious island-inspired bites as they celebrate Tropical Week! Expect a rotating line-up of tropical beers, limited-edition food specials, and a sizzling BBQ in the beer garden.

Don’t miss the highlight of the week: the grand unveiling of the newly restored Old General statue – and a toast to the late Nick Molyneux’s birthday.
Nick was a passionate Nottingham CAMRA member and a champion of pub heritage. He played a key role in rescuing the Old General after discovering the statue boxed away in a charity shop. Thanks to his efforts, this beloved figure has been restored and returned to pride of place.
Come raise a glass in Nick’s honour and be among the first to see the Old General’s brand-new look! Hawaiian shirts encouraged!
Unveiling of the restored Old General: 7pm
