Sous Chef at the Poppy and Pint

The Poppy and Pint pub is looking for a talented and dedicated Sous Chef to join their team.

This is a full-time position, worked across a flexible rota including evenings, weekends and busy trading periods.

As a Sous Chef at the Poppy, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in all aspects of kitchen operations. You will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food preparation, cooking, and presentation, whilst also assisting in menu development and kitchen management. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled chef looking to take the next step in their career in a supportive and vibrant environment.

Weekend Bar Staff at Barley Twist

The Barley Twist is looking for enthusiastic and highly-motivated individuals to join their team!

The right candidate will be able to work behind the bar, 10-15 hours per week (part time).

Experience is preferred but not essential as full training can be given to the right candidate. A positive attitude, excellent customer service skills and flexibility to work evenings and weekends is essential. All candidates must be 18+.

Assistant Manager at the Horse & Plough

The Horse & Plough is looking for a passionate, energetic, and customer-focused Assistant Manager to help lead our thriving community pub. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established venue with exciting ambitions, a strong local following, and a unique food partnership with Don Francisco’s Authentic Spanish Tapas. 

This role offers flexibility, responsibility, and the chance to make a real impact. You’ll work alongside a supportive management team to drive standards, develop our offer, and create exceptional experiences for every guest who walks through our doors. 

What You’ll Be Doing 

As Assistant Manager, you’ll play a key role in the day-to-day operation of the pub, including: 

  • Supporting the smooth running of all areas of the business 
  • Leading and motivating the team to deliver outstanding customer service 
  • Maintaining high operational and hospitality standards 
  • Helping to grow sales through local marketing and social media activity 
  • Supporting events, promotions, and community engagement initiatives 
  • Developing and promoting our exciting Spanish tapas offering 
  • Assisting with stock control, cellar management, and compliance 
  • Creating a welcoming atmosphere that keeps customers coming back 

What We’re Looking For 

You’ll be someone who: 

  • Has previous supervisory or management experience in hospitality 
  • Is passionate about food, drink, and delivering memorable guest experiences 
  • Has strong leadership and people management skills 
  • Understands cellar operations and stock control 
  • Is comfortable with manual handling and the physical aspects of pub operations 
  • Is confident using social media and local marketing to build awareness and drive trade 
  • Is proactive, enthusiastic, and keen to help shape the future of the business
