General Manager at the Willowbrook

The Willowbrook requires a confident, driven and focused individual to take the role of general manager. The applicant will be responsible for all aspects of running the pub and should be motivated to drive sales and expand the business.

The Willowbrook is a large community pub with a separate dining area, gardens to the front and rear and separate function spaces.

The successful candidate will ideally:

  • Display fluency in all social media platofrms
  • Demonstrate expectional craft and cask beer knowledge
  • Be cellar trained
  • Have first class customer service skills
  • Have good knowledge of Access EPOS and People systems
  • Be an experienced team leader; ensuring an efficient and harmonious performance of the whole team

Full-time Chef at the Embankment

The Embankment require a full-time chef for their busy pub kitchen, serving a diverse range of food including wedding catering, corporate events and contemporary casual dining.

Hours: 30 hours per week

Key duties will include: 

  • Food preparation, cooking and service
  • Kitchen organisation and cleaning
  • Stock management
  • Food safety and record keeping

Experience not necessary but preferred. Full training will be provided.

Part-time Events Assistant at the Embankment

The Embankment is a large and busy pub with a sizeable beer garden, civil ceremony license and 6 potential function rooms.

The candidate will be supporting the events team in ensuring that functions, parties and weddings run harmoniously alongside the rest of the business.

The role will be varied; a mixture of office work, event set ups, client show arounds, even co-ordination and service.

Hours: 20 hours per week

Responsibilities will include:

  • Administration of initial event enquiries via email and phone and reporting to higher management once interest is concrete
  • Co-ordination and attendance of prospective client venue viewings
  • Responsibility for event set ups
  • Maintaining a functional, organised and clean back of house
  • Service during events

The right candidate will:

  • Already have some hospitality experience
  • Be flexible week to week
  • Have a strong understanding of verbal and written communication in a professional setting
  • Be computer literate
  • Have a passion for delivering high quality customer service and enjoy taking care of the smaller details
  • Be organised, efficient and able to self-motivate
  • Have a willingness to learn and adopt systems already in place

Full-time Bar Supervisor at the Embankment

The Embankment requires an individual to expand the management team in the form of a bar supervisor.

The Embankment is a large and busy pub with a sizeable beer garden, civil ceremony license, 6 potential function rooms and is in close proximity to cricket and football grounds.

The candidates will be supporting the manager in all aspects of running the pub, with full site responsibility on some shifts

Hours: 30-35 hours per week

Key duties will include:

  • Staff management
  • Cellar management
  • Floor management
  • The right candidate will also be involved in the events side of the business

Full supervisory training will be provided, but the following will help your application immensely:

  • An interest in world and local beer
  • A passion for providing great customer service
  • Experience in restaurants or busy food led pubs
  • Experience in leading a team
  • A strong desire to learn
