Help us capture the events of our International Women’s Day celebrations! This includes three hours of photography during our open brew day on Tuesday 7th February and two hours over our launch event on Wednesday 8th March. Both will take place at the Old Cold Store (next to the Vat and Fiddle) and in the brewery itself.
This is an exciting, paid position aimed at budding female photographers, who are looking to build their portfolio. You will be surrounded by women both in and out of the beer and brewing industry, joining us on our celebration of women’s creativity, and helping us to raise money for Nottingham Women’s Centre.
The Brew Day: Tuesday 7th February
We are expecting upwards of 30 women to attend our open brew day, to help brew our IWD beer, Crystal Clear. The brew day starts at 7am and should end around 1pm.
We are looking for action shots of women helping in the brewery, close ups of ingredients, equipment and participants. We are also looking for shots suitable for use in press releases, including a photograph of the core team with representatives from Nottingham Women’s Centre at the event.
For this day, you’ll be needed for three hours (exact timings TBC but likely to be around 10am-1pm).
You will need to wear protective footwear while in the brewery – wellies are fine or steel-toe capped waterproofs are ideal!
The Launch Night: Wednesday 8th March
We’re celebrating everyone’s hard work and the launch of our IWD23 beer with a party in the Old Cold Store. We’ll have live music, including an acoustic set from Alexa Hawksworth and headlined by GIRLBAND! There will also be an art display, exhibiting all the submissions we received for our IWD design competition. We would love to display your photos from brew day here, too!
We are looking for a few photographs of the exhibition, the performers and of course, a few shots of the beer, Crystal Clear!
Doors open at 6pm with music kicking off shortly after, you’ll be needed for two hours on this evening, from 7-9pm.
You will need your own equipment, including a camera and flash gun, as the Old Cold Store does not have the best lighting! The brewery on the other hand is bright and airy.
Pay is £150, based upon 5-hours shooting time over the two dates and editing time. For any enquires, or if you would like to register your interest, please drop our marketing team an email here. Please also send us a few examples of your work!
Looking forward to hearing from you,
Cheers!
