In Bloom is our latest dry hopped pale. Matt, our developmental brewer, takes the time to share a bit about the process behind the pint.

BREWER’S NOTES: IN BLOOM

Back by popular demand, In Bloom was first brewed in the early months of 2020, seemingly a lifetime ago. It’s the same great tasting beer but with a few subtle improvements, which we hope will make it an even more satisfying brew.

The unique Loral hop is still the focus of this beer, its noble hop character coupled with heaps of florality, but this time round we’ve also added a some Citra and Sabro hops to help the aroma pop.

Maris Otter still provides the base of the malt grist, but with this brew we’ve added a little bit of pale munich malt to bring subtle complexity, increase mouthfeel, and accentuate biscuity flavours.

In Bloom is fermented with our long standing house yeast culture which is a mixed strain ale yeast. We find it works well with both traditional and more modern styles and helps provide our beers with great clarity, good condition in cask, and a clean finish.

This beer, like all our DHPs is only available in cask, so get yourself to your favourite boozer and get yourself a couple of pints and a chip cob.
