Jon Edger, Castle Rock’s brewery manager with Rob Appleton, Neon Raptor’s senior brewer
So, you may have seen it sneaking around some local bars already. But, we wanted to officially drop the news about our recent collab with local legends, Neon Raptor.
Hailing from, well, just around the corner, Neon Raptor have been creating some amazingly tasty brews since their humble beginnings in 2015, when they entered, and won, the BrewDog Nottingham homebrew contest. If you tried their collaboration with Vault City ‘Centaur Skies’ at our Yard Party, you’ll know exactly what we’re on about!
For this beer we decided to go for a West Coast pale with bold assertive flavours, packed with Chinook, Citra and Nelson Sauvin hops. In balance, there’s a sweet backdrop of robust flavours from the Golden Promise and Vienna malts. With the bitterness you’d expect from a West Coast pale, Cabazon also packs subtle notes of gooseberry, grapefruit and pine, with a sweet biscuity finish.
Pouring in our pubs locally and further afield, be sure to catch this beast of a beer before it goes extinct!
Tom Ainsley, Neon Raptor owner and director with Dave Wroe, Neon Raptor Taproom manager
