Who could think that, after months of planning, days of lugging equipment, hours of scratching our heads (or burying them in our hands) and countless amounts of stupidity and fun, that it would all be over so quick!
If you need a quick summary – Yard Party is our yearly celebration here at Castle Rock. We throw open the gates to our brewery yard and invite all you lovely people in! To mark the occasion, we also bring along some of our favourite bands, DJs, street food, artists and, of course, BEER.
This year was extra special. We upped our game with 5 amazing street food vendors; Jerk Station, Working Man’s Kichen, Yums, Castle Rock Kitchen and the Deep Vat Fryer, 2 new bars, providing a range of cocktails and “quick-serve” beers, and some of the best breweries from across the country and beyond, pouring on keg and cask.
As ever, we also had the fantastic Revolution Sounds programming the soundtrack to the day. There were a range of amazing new acts like Chai and Ben and Jahrel JP, through to Yard Party regulars The Score and the essential, Fat Digester.
If you can’t tell already; all these ingredients made a real recipe for success. Lot of fun was had, memories made and beer consumed. We’d like to show our gratitude to all of those people who made the event planning and management possible.
A huge thanks is also due to you. All the lovely people that come along and celebrate with us in our brewery yard are what make this event worthwhile. Thank you so much for your ongoing support and for being so much fun. We really don’t take it for granted!
So, as a bit of time passes and the dust settles, it will be a heartbeat and the next one will be round the corner.
