Fox and Crown
Welcoming pub and bottle shop in the historic town of NewarkFOOD MENU SUNDAY FOOD MENU CHRISTMAS MENU
The Fox and Crown has been a Castle Rock pub for two decades. Situated in Newark where we opened our very first pub – the Old King’s Arms – in the seventies, it holds a special place in our hearts.
More recently, the pub has gained (for the second year running) accreditation as ‘Newark CAMRA Cider Pub of the Year’ and for the first time ever, ‘Newark Town CAMRA Pub of the Year’, too.
Once a traditional real ale pub in the heart of historic Newark, the Fox and Crown is now a hub of beery heaven. Offering a range of up to ten cask ales, four lagers, five craft beers and 40+ bottles and cans, with discounts on take-away beers. Renowned for its excelent selection of real ale and for bringing craft beer into Newark; if you’re not a drinker, their soft drinks selection offers plenty of choice and the coffee is locally sourced from Stewarts Coffee in Nottingham.
Covers all bases, the Fox and Crown is a community pub through and through. A regular supporter of local charities, a beloved meeting space, and offering a full menu of everything from traditional pub classics to light bites for the casual diner. Roasts are available every Sunday with all the trimmings. Like all Castle Rock pubs, the menu aspires to be inclusive of all lifestyle choices and dietary requirements wherever possible.
The Fox is open from 10.30am every day, to accommodate visitors and locals alike. If you’re catching a show at the Palace Theatre, it’s only a two-minute walk away, and if you’re brushing up on your history at the Newark Civil War Museum, you’ll find it on the Civil War Ale Trail.
We look forward to welcoming you to The Fox and Crown Pub & Bottle Shop!
