Castle Rock is a SALSA plus beer accredited business and one of the first cask ale breweries in the UK to receive this highly regarded accreditation.
The SALSA standard was written by experienced food safety experts which reflects the legal requirements of the producers and also the increasingly high standards required by food/drink buyers.
Accreditation involves a thorough audit to check that the organisation is meeting the continued requirements of the SALSA standard. A SALSA plus beer module was developed in association with Cask Marque, the industry funded quality-checker of the brewing industry and looks at more specific brewery related systems.
