Nottingham Comedy Festival will be returning for its 18th year between Friday 30th October to Sunday 8th November!

At Castle Rock, we’ve proudly supported this festival since the very start in 2009. Each year we love to see amazing comedians perform, either as a new act or returning, all around Nottingham, including some of our much-loved city centre pubs: Canalhouse, Barley Twist and Vat & Fiddle!

Ten days of comedy will unfold across fourteen venues, with more than 130 performers bringing their shows to town for some light-hearted fun. This year’s programme is more diverse than ever, featuring stand-up, improvisation, sketches, plays, poetry, drag shows, musical comedy, and plenty more.

Support from the Arts Council means there are four very special shows taking place at Saltbox this year, too. Check out the Spotlight Showcases here, celebrating underrepresented groups in comedy, including LGBTQIA+., Disabled/Neurodiverse, Women and Nottinghamshire acts. Each show will be featuring a mixture of professional and up-and-coming acts.

Top names such as Kevin Bridges, Seann Walsh, Chloe Petts, Rachel Fairburn, Paddy Young, Arthur Smith are all taking to the stage this Autumn. With over 130 shows, there is a lot taking place.

Go and see your old favourites and try something new, you never know what gems are out there but most importantly, come and have a laugh.
