GRAHAM GRIFFITHS, THE MAN

Introducing Griff, a hard-working Nottinghamian who has dedicated over 40 years of his life to hockey. He was a key figure in developing the Nottingham Hockey Centre and has repeatedly fought for the continued existence of the Beeston Hockey Club. This beer is dedicated to him.

In the spirit of Graham, it felt right to go for a classic Golden Ale, highlighting everything the UK does well in terms of brewing and showcasing our love for cask ale.

Our aim was to make a beer that we felt represented traditional English beer, but equally would appeal to tastes from all around the world. Our humble aim was to unite people through the love of beer and hockey!

GRIFF, THE BEER

Brewed using exclusively UK ingredients including British hops, Bramling Cross and Olicana. This blend was intended to bring subtle fruit flavours of citrus and blackberry into the mix, followed up by a satisfying bitterness.

In addition, we’ve combined a malt bill of Maris Otter, Munich, Vienna and torrefied wheat, to give a biscuity cracker finish with a well-balanced sweetness. The result is a very drinkable golden ale with well-balanced flavours and a beautifully rounded mouthfeel, bringing warmth and a touch of sweetness in flavour.

We welcome you to enjoy this easy-drinking classic in your favourite local pub, pairing perfectly with your preferred picnic foods! A decent pork pie or a stacked Ploughman’s sandwich, for example.
