What a way to make the sun shine on a dreary, drizzly December day! We are enormously proud and humbled to hear that three of our canned beers have taken home awards from the SIBA Regional Bottle & Can Beer Awards 2021 (Midlands).

ABOUT THE SIBA INDEPENDENT BEER AWARDS

The SIBA Independent Beer Awards span SIBA’s eight geographical locations, with the winners in each region moving forward to the National competition held at London’s BeerX. The judging panel is made up of brewers and industry experts, so the award-winning beers are considered “brewers’ choice” for the UK.

Various categories are available in cask, keg, and small pack.

ABOUT THE WINS

British Dark Beers (4.5-6.4% ABV): Oatmeal Stout GOLD

Oatmeal Stout is a richly-flavoured and full-bodied stout. UK Phoenix hops bring subtle aromas of dried fruit, spice and marmalade. These are balanced by smooth and creamy notes of chocolate, coffee, and caramel from darker malts. (Vegan)

Sours/Spontaneous: Passion Fruit Sour SILVER
Pilsner malt, wheat and oats and a super soft water profile bring fullness and body to this beer, balanced by subtle acidity from the Philly Sour yeast, providing a great foundation on which to showcase the juicy, tropical flavours from one of our favourite fruits. (Vegan)Session IPA: Session BRONZE

Session has been an increasingly popular beer over the past few years. It’s a juicy IPA full of tropical fruit and citrus aroma, brewed with three aromatic hop varieties including a generous dry hop addition of Simcoe. (Vegan)

A huge congratulations goes to our brewing team who create recipes with such expertise and heart. A special thank you also goes out to our friends at Attic. Without you guys, we wouldn’t be able to put out the beers we are today. And a massive well done to our fellow Midlands brewers who, as always, make our region such an exciting, creative place to be.

We’ll see you at Beer X in 2022!
