Viv Anderson MBE, one of the two native sons of Nottingham in Forest's 1979 European Cup winning side, will be making a personal appearance at the Embankment on the exact 40th anniversary day, Thursday 30 May.

Ticket holders, fans and pub regulars alike will get the chance to hear Viv chat over old times and join a tasting of ‘Viv Anderson MBE’, his Nottinghamian Celebration Ale, brewed to mark the anniversary.

The big thing is that proceeds from the sale of the beer, the afternoon’s raffles and donations from the public are in aid of Viv’s chosen charity, Prostate Cancer UK and everyone who makes a donation will receive a free signed photo of the man.

Our event includes an opportunity to meet Viv, take selfies, and hear of those cup winning days and his life and work since leaving Forest in 1984.  While all the online tickets have gone, we’ve kept back a few to give out on a first-come-first-served basis on the day.

‘Viv Anderson MBE’ is our May to July Nottinghamian Celebration Ale.  One of our four a year honouring the achievements of the native and adopted sons and daughters of the city, Viv’s ale is a 4.2% Pilsner-style pale beer.  It is based on his own taste preferences.

The ‘Meet Viv Anderson’ event is on Thursday 30 May, 2019 at the Embankment, Trent Bridge, Nottingham from 4pm.
