Nottingham Comedy Festival Returns for 2025

Get ready for your bellies to hurt from laughing as the Nottingham Comedy Festival is back – and we’re thrilled to once again play our part in bringing the city ten days of laughter.

As proud supporters since the festival’s launch 17 years ago, we’ve seen first-hand how comedy brings people together. And let’s face it, who doesn’t need a good laugh now and then?

What’s On This Year

Running from Friday 31st October to Sunday 9th November, this year’s festival promises a packed programme of stand-up, sketch, musical comedy, character acts and more. With some of the UK’s top talent on the bill – alongside some fresh new voices – there really will be something for everyone, from die-hard fans to first-time visitors.

What to Expect This Year

The festival will serve up 10 days of non-stop laughs and entertainment. Audiences can look forward to a diverse mix of stand-up, sketch comedy, musical acts, character performances and much more.

This year’s line-up promises to be one of the best yet, featuring top comedic talent from around the UK and beyond. So, whether you’re a long-time comedy fan or looking to discover the next big thing, there’s something for everyone.

A Festival for Everyone

Since 2009, Nottingham Comedy Festival has helped put Nottingham on the map as a hub for live comedy. By working with local venues and championing up-and-coming performers, the festival has become a launchpad for homegrown talent while also welcoming acts from across the UK and beyond.

Inclusivity is central to the programme, with this year’s line-up celebrating a broad mix of voices and perspectives – including women, BAME and LGBTQIA+ comedians – all bringing their own unique stories to the stage.

Join Us at Our Pubs

We’re delighted that several of our pubs will once again be hosting festival gigs. A big shout out to the Canalhouse, Barley Twist, Horse and Plough and Vat and Fiddle for opening their doors and helping to spread the laughter.
