Tesco management will receive a bottle of Castle Rock’s Harvest Pale as part of their welcome pack ahead of the company’s annual general meeting at the East Midlands Conference Centre on 1 July.
Tesco CEO Philip Clarke met Castle Rock’s commercial director Colin Wilde at a recent Tesco event. Colin says:
“Knowing that Tesco had chosen Nottingham for its AGM in July, I offered to supply their guests and fellow directors with Harvest Pale. Mr Clarke relished the prospect and immediately insisted on paying.
“I’m delighted that, as a result of Mr Clarke and Tesco’s interest in us, our beers will become available across the UK, building on their success in Tesco’s stores in Long Eaton and Nottingham.
“I’m particularly pleased that Tesco’s management has faith in small regional brewers like ourselves, and has the confidence that we can meet their exacting quality and delivery standards.”
Harvest Pale is Castle Rock’s best selling beer, with the draft beer winning Champion Beer of Britain at last year’s Great British Beer Festival.
